BCNA leads
province-wide fight against deregulation of naturopathic physicians.
The government’s views on proposed scope of practice changes for
naturopathic medicine are summarized in a "generic" letter that
MLAs across the province are using to respond to patient queries. A recent
letter to the editor from Minister of Health Planning Sindi Hawkins,
published in the Kelowna Capital News, reiterated all the points in this
generic document. We have reprinted the generic letter. We have also included
our response to the minister’s letter to the editor.
MAI
National Campaign
If approved, the MAI (Multilateral Agreement on Investment) will have a major
negative impact on many important areas of Canadian life including
environmental protection, social programs and health care.
The Council of
Canadians
The Council of Canadians is an independent non-partisan citizens' interest
group providing a critical and progressive voice on key national issues such
as the MAI.
Alliance
for Public Accountability
APA, is a citizens group working to promote accountability and to restore
trust and confidence in our political system. They are concerned that the
government is increasingly acting on its own behalf and in the interest of
groups other than the public at large.
