BIOGRAPHICAL REVIEW
BIOGRAPHICAL REVIEW of DR. PINCOTT
I was born on the Queen Charlotte Islands and raised in various small
logging communities on Northern Vancouver Island. My mother was always
treating me with herbs and vitamins and trying different herbal potions on
sickly pets. My mother took me to her Naturopathic Physician when I was still
studying in nursing school and the N.D. encouraged me to enter the field
which, at that time, had few female practitioners.
As a nursing student, I quickly realized that I would not be able to act
as independently as I would like in assisting patients with their health
care. I then decided to become a Naturopathic Physician.
I graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1985 and
became licensed in British Columbia and I have been practicing in Vancouver
since then.
I have been continuing my naturopathic education by attending numerous
health conferences and courses on a yearly basis. These studies include
herbal medicine, nutrition, and constitutional homeopathy.
In my time away from the office I spend a lot of time travelling to the
country and being out of doors. I love cycling, hiking, camping, kayaking,
tennis and I work out regularly. I try to nurture my creative side through
writing, arts and crafts, and playing the piano.
